2002
Sofus Regulatory Affairs AB was founded by Linda and Staffan Thunell. Over time, Sofus grew to 60+ specialised regulatory, drug development, QA and HTA professionals – positioning Sofus as the most important pharma regulatory and medical affairs consultancy in the Nordic area with clients throughout Europe and overseas.
2005
Linda and Staffan Thunell founded Nevadapharma AB. Nevadapharma’s business concept was to acquire mature, speciality, Rx pharmaceuticals. Over the years, Nevadapharma owned a portfolio of seven specialty pharma products, mainly within neurology indications that were marketed in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
2020
Arex Advisor AB was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, by Linda and Staffan Thunell, Lovisa Rosenquist and Erik Hedner. Arex is owned by our Founding Partners together with a group of senior employees.
2025
Arex Advisor AG was founded in Basel, Switzerland by Anja Bührer together with the Founding Partners of Arex Advisor AB.
Today
Arex Advisor is a group of companies comprising 40 professionals with expertise in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, pharmacovigilance and market access. Our partnership program is part of Arex philosophy to build a purposeful organisation of committed experts. We work every day to make sure that working with us, and for us, is an extra rewarding experience.

Staffan Thunell
Founding partner
BSc Economics and BA
Staffan has a long background in entrepreneurship within the life science industry. He has 20+ years experience from positions as Founder, Chairman, CEO and CFO within medical affairs consulting and small pharma. Previously Staffan worked in executive positions in big pharma and specialty pharma companies.
